Interest Plentiful in Osage County Leases
Tulsa, Okla — This past quarter saw the coming of the 10th Annual Osage Oil and Gas Summit and Propsect Expo.
Over $860,000 was raised over the course of the auction, on ninety-four oil & gas combo leases, 3 oil, and 2 gas, totaling ninety-nine. The leases cover 15,780 acres of Osage Indian land, which is rich in oil and gas deposits.
Interest among the Osage county oil & gas leases is increasing as it is proven to contain profitable reserves, which is one of the reasons we have already acquired some, and seek to acquire more of the leases on the Osage reservation. OMC Chairman Dudley Whitehorn was quoted, saying, “We had good results today from the lease sale… This is the first time we’ve ever done this, in a place like this, in a town this size… Usually we have these [auctions] on the campus of the Osage.” Clearly he was impressed by the increased demand in interest in these properties.
We all have a lot to look towards in regards to the future of oil & gas production on and around these leases. With the experienced operators we have working on them, our share of Osage leases should bring us tidings all year long.
